SCREENS ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our screen-sharing service.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and create a secure password hash. We never store your password in plain text.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription. We never see or store your credit card details.
Stream Data: When you broadcast your screen, the video data is transmitted in real-time to your viewers and is not stored on our servers unless you explicitly use the recording feature. When you save a recording, the file is encrypted before it is written to disk. Only you (and anyone you choose to share the link with) can play back the recording.
Usage Data: We collect basic usage information including session timestamps, viewer counts, and peak viewer statistics to provide you with analytics and improve our service.
Screen content is transmitted using WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication), which establishes direct peer-to-peer connections between the broadcaster and viewers when possible. This means your stream data often travels directly between participants without passing through our servers. When direct connections cannot be established, data may be relayed through our servers but is not permanently stored. We recommend users be mindful of sensitive information visible on their screens during broadcasts.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, rate limiting, and encryption of saved recordings at rest. Each recording is encrypted with its own unique key so that raw files on our servers are never readable without authorization. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
SCREENS is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
